Hey AWA AA friends This will be my first year tabling at AWA and I just impulsively launched this Quickstarter so I could get these pastel Halloween. That means that if say a plush artist drops out, and you are number 1 on the plush waitlist you would be selected. The Silent Auction raises funds for ALA scholarships and grants. ![]() After the week grace period, you will receive an email with your status. Participants will provide ALA with a framed original piece 8x10 or 11x17 of art on canvas or cardstock (by the applying artist) that is library, reading, literacy themed or appropriate in a library setting to be used in the Artist Alley Silent Auction. After closing, the Artist Alley team will take 1 week to look over applications. ![]() We would love to have you all but we just don’t have the room. Every year we get artists emailing after applications close and unfortunately there is not much we can do as we generally get about 70 applications. The application will be open for 1 month! That means that on June 1st at 11:59 pm, the applications will close. We are not liable for any items you leave out! Our safety team will be patrolling, but it is not their job to guard your items. The AWA Artist Alley is a place for artists to sell their original. The programming and artist alley are always awesome, and its in a beautiful. Comic-Cons Artists Alley space is limited and not all applications will be granted. Hallway artists can set their own hours but you are responsible for setting up and taking down each night. Anime Weekend Atlanta is one of my favorite little conventions. We have limited space in the rooms at night for artists to store a portion of their setups. Please make sure on your form to mark if you have a preference for in the room or in the hallway. If you have received an accepted email and did not see a contract, please send an email to. There are 5 categories and 26 available spots.īased on the amazing feedback we will be having hallway tables again. All contracts have been sent out to those who were accepted. I had great table neighbors, and the attendees were very engaged. It was easy check in, but it did take awhile. We are first come first serve, but with a twist! We have categories! Every artist will be placed into a category based on the examples that they send us. This was my first year in the AWA artist alley. We welcome all artists to apply as we are not a juried alley. Please, also check out our FAQ! It’s got some great info. The selection process is usually competitive, so make sure your work is of a high standard. To apply for an artist alley table at either of these conventions, you will need to fill out an application form and submit samples of your work. If you’ve been in our alley before, they haven’t changed much but it’s always good to refresh yourself. We’re so excited to see all of your art but first we need everyone applying to read our rules of the alley. If you’re looking for some deals, go in on Sunday plenty of artists selling prints will offer bigger discounts or package deals because they don’t want to take any more of the work home if they don’t have to, so you may get something extra thrown in for free.The time has come! Artist Alley applications are now open! As an artist I understand the time that goes into these works, and artists deserve to get paid for their time and effort. Believe me, there was a piece of original art I wish wasn’t 700 USD because I want it on my wall, but with all of the beautiful hand drawn centaurs and careful placement in the shadowbox to make an amazing 3D piece of art, it was worth it. Don’t insult people’s pricing, even if it’s because you want it but can’t afford it. Artist alleys are always worth hitting if you attend a convention because it’s never the same twice, and anything you buy goes to support artists trying to attain their dreams. I’m always inspired after a convention, and one of these days, I’m going to actually get a booth at a local con and taste what it’s like on the other side of the table. However, the artist alley was fantastic! So many beautiful works of art everywhere.
